Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding advice and support including contact details and out of hours peer support.

Child Development Centres

Find out what assessments and interventions are available at the Child Development Centres in Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin, who can provide a referral and the addresses and contact details for the centres.

Children's community physiotherapy

Find out more about these services, most common conditions and who can refer a child or young person to this service.

Community Children's Nursing

All care and support the community children's nurses provide for children and young people e.g. stoma care, intravenous drug regimes or home ventilation

This takes you to Shropshire wheelchair and posture service that provides for mobility needs of people with a long term disability regardless of age

Community children's doctors

This links to our service for children and young people aged 0-16 years old but this extends to under 19 years for children with complex neurodisability educated full time in specialist provision.

Family nurse partnership - Young parents

If you are 19 or under and expecting your first baby, or until your baby is two, help is available to you if you live in Telford and Wrekin or Shropshire

Health Visiting

The overall purpose is to achieve the best health and well being for children from birth to 5, by identifying health needs and promoting healthy lifestyles

Long term conditions

This links to the Trust's page regarding care to patients who have to live with long-term conditions. These include diabetes, chronic fatique syndrome and wounds for example.

Looked After Children (LAC)

Looked after children health review assessments for those aged 0-18. We provide advice to a range of people including children in care and foster careers.

Paediatric Psychology Service

The children's psychology service delivers specialist treatment for children with life-threatening health problems. It helps them to cope and adjust to their conditions.

School age immunisation team

Information on what vaccinations are offered to school children at different ages, including HPV vaccinations, children's flu vaccine and school leaver boosters

School Nursing

Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust provides a caring and responsive School Nursing Service across Shropshire Telford & Wrekin.
