Public Questions at Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust

Board meetings are held in public every other month on the first Thursday of the month at 10am. Meeting venues are published on the Trust’s website ahead of the meeting. Meetings take place at various venues across the Trust’s area to ensure that all service users are able to attend a meeting should they wish.

Submitting Your Question:

  • Questions must be made in writing or via email to shropcom.publicquestions@nhs.net. This the only route for public questions to be received by the Trust.
  • Questions must be received no later than by noon, the day before the meeting, dates will be published on the Trust website.
  • The questions should be limited to items on the agenda.

At the Meeting:

  • Public questions will be taken at the start of the meeting after the Chair’s Awards and patient/staff story.
  • Questions will be dealt in the order in which they were received.
  • The Chair will read a summary of the question to the Board and will not necessarily read the entire question. We will seek to give an overview of the response to the question, but a more detailed response to questions will be provided as part of the minutes which will be made available on the Trust’s website and directly in writing to the person who asked them following the meeting.
  • Questions and responses will be included in full in the minutes of the meeting.
  • You may attend in person to listen to the feedback, the Chair will read a summary of the question whether you are in attendance or not. It is not possible to join the meeting virtually.
  • As the Trust Board is a meeting held in public, and not a public meeting, there will be no opportunity for the individual raising the question to respond or raise a supplementary question and there will be no opportunity for discussion on public questions.

Papers from previous board meetings
