Children's Occupational Therapy Sensory Resources

We have a range of sensory processing handouts that parents and professionals may find useful on our Children's Occupational Therapy Sensory resources page.

What does sensory processing mean?

We have eight different sensory systems, five of them are more well known, and three of them you may not have heard of before. Everybody experiences the world in different ways, sometimes the way your body processes sensory information can make it difficult to join in with daily life or experiences.

Sensory Questionnaires and Information

Below is a little more information on each of our sensory systems. There is also a link to a sensory questionnaire in each section, which has been kindly provided by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, please use these to get a better understanding of your child's individual sensory needs.
